1716/1999. Exceptional exhibition collection for the topic FROM NATIONAL HEALTH CARE TO THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION WHO divided into 4 main sections: 1. National health protection 2. International cooperation 3. The development of the WHO and 4. The WHO in the service of worldwide health. Over a period of about 20 years (1981/2000) this collection was often distinguished with many gold awards inter alia at some FIP exhibitions (list of awards enclosed).
The collection is stored in 2 folders on 120 attractively designed sheets provided with competent descriptions. There are a big number of best items with very rare documents beginning from pre-philatelic times, e. g. a letter of the Florentine medical board from 1716 (only 3 letters of this board are known). Besides, the pre-philatelic covers often distinguish themselves by special cancels or special manners of treatment. Further there are some proof printings of different kinds, e. g. a single die proof for the Austrian stamp Mi. #617 "Prince Eugene" or also some Epreuves d'atelier and color proofs. There are a huge number of letters and cards of institutions and events which were involved in this historical development of the public health care, e.g. various congressional letters (also within the scope of the Paris world exhibition 1867) and official letters, thus from the "Institute of Pasteuer, Lille" with the very rare PTT cancel (used only from the 17. 10 to the 25. 10. 1918), from the "Red Cross", e. g. a letter of the Prussian auxiliary association of 1866 with the earliest known impression of the Red Cross sign (here in blue) and also of course several high-quality letters with relation to UN / League of Nations and precursor's organisations (UNRRA etc. ), e. g. a censorship-official letter from 1940 of the "Department III" as an up to now only known letter with the "DEPT. III" cancel or also two franked (!) official letters of the interim commission (1948) as one of the biggest rarities at WHO collecting. Besides, there are some special frankings, as for example a package card franked several times by the violet 10fr official stamp (no higher franking with this stamp is known). It is not possibble to state here everything which is worth mentioning. Therefore an extensive inspection is not only unavoidable, but rather a big pleasure! ÷ 1716/1999. Außergewöhnliche Ausstellungssammlung zum Thema "Von nationaler Gesundheitsvorsorge zur Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO", mit den 4 Hauptbereichen: 1. Nationaler Gesundheitsschutz 2. Internationale Zusammenarbeit 3. Die WHO bildet sich heraus und 4. Die WHO im Dienste weltweiter Gesundheit. In einem Zeitraum von rund 20 Jahren (1981/2000) wurde diese Sammlung vielfach mit Gold und weiteren Preisstufen ausgezeichnet u.a. auf einigen FIP-Ausstellungen (Liste der Preise beiliegend). Es finden sich in 2 Ordnern auf 120 ansprechend gestalteten und mit sachkundigen versehenen Texten Seiten eine große Anzahl guter und bester Stücke mit sehr seltenen Belegen ab der Vorphilazeit, z.B. ein Brief der florentinischen Sanitätskommision aus 1716 (nur 3 Briefe dieser Kommision bekannt). Dabei zeichnen sich die Vorphilabriefe oft durch besondere Stempel oder Behandlungsweisen aus. Weiter vorhanden sind Probedrucke verschiedener Art, z.B. Abzug vom Einzelstock für Österreich Mi.-Nr. 617 Prinz Eugen, oder auch einige Epreuves und Farbproben. Vorhanden sind eine Vielzahl von Briefen und Karten von Institutionen und Ereignissen, die an dieser geschichtlichen Herausbildung der öffentlichen Gesundheitsvorsorge beteiligt waren, so etwa diverse Kongreßbriefe (auch im Rahmen der Pariser Weltausstellung 1867) und Dienstbriefe, so vom "Institut Pasteuer, Lille" mit sehr seltenem PTT-Stempel (Gebrauch nur vom 17.10. bis 25.10.1918), vom Roten Kreuz, z.B. ein Brief des preußischen Hilfsverein von 1866 mit dem frühesten bekannten Abdruck des Rot-Kreuz-Zeichen (hier in blau) und natürlich auch etliche hochwertige Briefe mit Bezug zur UNO/Völkerbund u
