Randalls will open a store in Georgetown next year.

Randalls is on its way to Georgetown.

Construction on the 57,655-square-foot store will start in January, with a planned opening set for fall 2017, the grocer said.

The store will be located in the Oak Meadows Marketplace shopping center, which is going up at the southwest corner of Williams Drive and Jim Hogg Road.

“Randalls is excited to build a store in Georgetown and become part of this vibrant and thriving community,” Randalls president Sidney Hopper said. “We look forward to serving the community and providing an exceptional shopping experience to Georgetown residents.”

Amenities at the store will include a gas station, drive-through pharmacy and a Starbucks coffee shop, as well as bakery, deli, floral, produce, meat and seafood departments.

Randalls, which is owned by Albertsons, expects to hire 165 full- and part-time employees for the new store, which will be its 15th in Central Texas.

“We are eager to meet the needs of our customers and create new jobs in Georgetown,” Hopper said.
