Today’s average Business Class passenger is more than just a laptop-carrying suit travelling for business. In fact, who says you have to be travelling for business to enjoy all the benefits of Business Class? Jumpstart any holiday with a treat you won’t regret, by upgrading to Singapore Airlines’ superior cabins and experience a seamless service from the get-go, whether its easing you through the airport, guaranteeing a good night’s sleep, or letting you savour the best food and drink to be found at 30,000 feet.

Here are just a few reasons why you deserve to fly Business Class too.

1. Stretch out in a double bed

Move over lie-flat beds, the double bed has arrived. Yes, you read that right – not only are Business Class seats super-comfortable when you want to sit up, they also fully recline when you’re ready to drop off. Plus, if you’re travelling with a partner on the new A380, you can book neighbouring seats that double up as a double bed. Passengers can still have total privacy if they prefer, but those who want to stretch out can lower the divider between the seats to open up extra space. Sound good? Then delight in extending that restful horizontal experience with the Business Class cabin for B787-10 Dreamliners on your regional flight beyond Singapore, as they bring a fully lie-flat business class experience to more destinations on even the shortest flights.

2. Stay connected with free unlimited Wi-Fi

Sometimes you just want to shoot off a quick WhatsApp message or do a quick google search to satisfy that niggling curiosity on a random thought that’s popped into mind, without having to pay for a Wi-Fi plan onboard. Well now you don’t have to, when the best airline in the world is offering unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi for all those flying Business Class. Now you can easily stay connected with those on the ground and google to your heart’s content – in fact, sign-up as a KrisFlyer member and you can enjoy free unlimited Wi-Fi no matter which cabin you fly.

3. Book and devour food cooked by real chefs

Singaporeans are the experts at creating mouth-watering meals in minutes – how else could the country be home to the first hawker stall to earn a Michelin star – so it’s no surprise the national airline puts eating above almost all else. Salivate over a delectable number of dishes via Book the Cook that allows you to decide, up to 24 hours before your flight, which delicious main course you fancy with no fear of missing your favourite dish. Since the Book the Cook menus are separate to those on board, if you don’t pre-order you can still choose from three main course options on the day, including more creations from the Michelin-starred members of the airline’s International Culinary Panel of chefs and dishes that are popular local fare.

4. Pop a cork on the best bottles in the sky

It’s a proven fact that flying changes the taste of food and drink, so you need an expert on hand to talk you through which connoisseur-selected wine is right for you. Cue the Singapore Airlines air sommeliers, who undergo a 12-month training process, to advise on which tipple will complement your meal (and your palate) from a selection of award-winning wines – so outstanding, in fact, they took the top four honours at the recent Cellars in the Sky awards, beating all other airlines to Best Business Class Red, Best Presented Business Class Wine List, Best Business Class Cellar and Best Overall Cellar. Not only that, but the friendly cabin crew can whip up cocktails such as a Bloody Mary at a moment’s notice, and are always on hand with more than 15 types of tea, specialist Illy coffees and plenty of other soft and alcoholic drink selections. You can now also pre-select your preferred meal from the on board menu up to 24 hours before the flight.

5. Keep everything close

Forget rooting around in overhead lockers, trying not to bump in to fellow passengers as you search for the one thing buried at the bottom of your bag. Business Class comes with plenty of in-seat stowage, so you can tuck your reading glasses in one pocket, hang up your jacket, stash a bottle of water in another, and still have space for your favourite book. Not to mention, the 1-2-1 cabin layout gives you direct aisle access wherever you sit, so no need for that awkward fumble to climb over another person.

6. Relax in the SilverKris Lounge

Airports are stressful enough, without the hassle of busy shops and shuffling crowds – so why not escape to the sanctuary of the SilverKris Lounge? This luxurious space in Heathrow’s Terminal 2 feels a world away from the hubbub of Departures – with showers, hot food as well as lighter snacks, bartenders to serve your favourite tipple; why not try out the distinctive Connoisseur Dry Gin designed exclusively for Singapore Airlines in collaboration with Hayman’s of London whilst sitting back on comfy armchairs and scanning the newspapers – meaning you can start your holiday from the moment you walk in.
