Linecard - SAFT
SAFT is a French manufacturer of batteries and rechargeable batteries, associated with the petrochemical company Total. In 2018 SAFT celebrated its 100 years’ anniversary. SAFT products are used in security applications, standby power supply or drivers for such demanding industries as aviation, marine, railway or medical. Its innovative solutions, focus on safety and reliability guarantee high performance of SAFT batteries in outer space, at sea, ashore and in the air.
The core of SAFT’s offer includes (Li-SOCl2) 3,6V LS and LSH lithium batteries.
LS cells, thanks to extremely low self-discharge, are perfect for long-term (5-20 years) applications in which there are several µA basic currents, usually within the range of 5-150 mA.

The LSH line can work at very high temperatures, which may occur in petroleum and gas applications. High-current batteries are designed for applications which require impulses of even up to 4 A.
