Mid-level faculty

“Mid-level faculty” (akademischer Mittelbau) is the term used to describe the group of research assistants who have passed their exams or graduated and do not have their own chair (e.g. post docs or research assistants paid in the salary group E13). The mid-level faculty forms the university together with the students, the professors, and the non-scientific staff. With the amendment of the LHG (xx) a further group was defined: doctoral students without an employment contract (upon application also with an employment contract) at the university. Due to the closely related interests and needs of this group and the mid-level faculty, we in Hohenheim have come out in favor of a common information base.

Tasks

Each of the two groups sends representatives to the bodies of academic self-government. These include the University Council, the Senate, the faculty councils as well as Senate commissions, steering groups, and commissions and groups at the faculty level.

Information

The central information basis for the mid-level faculty is an ILIAS group and an ILIAS mailing list as well as regular meetings. Dates and locations will be announced via the ILIAS mailing list.
