Versed cleanser

Something I am obsessed with is cleansers, I can't even put a number to how many I've tried. This one was quite nice. I appreciate how it doesn't have a fragrance because that often can be a deterrence for many, however I personally do tend to like a little fragrance. This is a gel cleanser which when you emulsify with water creates a nice lather to clean your face. I will say my face felt clean and after using didn't feel dry or parched. But as someone who has dry skin I prefer a cream cleanser because it gives that extra hydration and moisture that a gel cleanser lacks. Another down side is that I couldn't feel safe using this on my eye area so that this cleanser didn't really get used on my full face makeup days. Fragrance free cleanser!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My skin has never really done well with ‘gentle' cleansers - my skin enjoys foam, actives, and acids due to my acne prone and combo skin but I've really been enjoying the Purist Antioxidant Cleanser! Every time I use it, I notice my skin looks radiant - not stripped or irritated and this is before any skincare - just after cleansing. My favorite part of this cleanser is the fact that it's blue! One of my favorite colors and it's so pretty to look at with it transparent gel texture. It's a soap free cleanser which was quite interesting because I love a good lather and found that most gentle cleansers don't lather. This one lathers so easily - I love to use it! Afterwards I follow it up with a vitamin b5 toner, soothing serum, Niacinamide serum, eye cream, and vitamin c moisturizer (my skin has been a bit dehydrated and I'm having scarring from acne). It works smoothly in my routine but I still love my actives so I don't use it everyday. I love the packaging as well - both the aesthetic bottle and pump application. The bottle allows you to see through - unlike most cleansers - so I can easily see how much I have left. Although it seems like a very basic cleanser to me, I love the skin loving packed ingredients and how it's doing for my skin. I have heard others say it's stripping on their skin but it's doing just fine as someone with Combo to oiler skin! Acne Skin that Enjoys!

Contrary to popular belief, cleansers can be a game changer because using a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type can purge the skin of impurities while prepping it for additional products. What I really liked about this cleanser is the fact that my skin didn't feel stripped after using. Gel cleaners can be drying for my skin, especially in light of the fact that I'm in my fifties and am experiencing changes within my skin. This cleanser worked very well with a cleansing brush as well and unlike many cleansers that contain questionable ingredients, this one has antioxidants and other goodies to help preserve the skin barrier. The trick is to find a cleanser that will cooperate with your skin type without drying your skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the Versed The Purist Antioxidant Cleanser, but I had a full reaction to it and experience a burning sensation that lasted for over 24 hours. I have been an esthetician for almost 5 years. I have done and received chemical peels. I do not have sensitive skin, but I usually only make it for the minimum amount of time before needing to take a chemical peel off. Once I start to feel a tingle, I remove and I am fine. As soon as I started cleansing, I felt a burning sensation. I am not allergic to any of the ingredients. I actually like the ingredients and that it is vegan. I thought I was massaging too hard and I looked in the mirror and my face was red! I felt like I had left a chemical peel on a little too long.
