Perplex City's Receda Cube has been found! Andy Darley, from Middlesex, England, followed countless clues and solved dozens of puzzles before finally tracking the Cube to Wakerly Great Wood in Northamptonshire (be sure to say that with your veddy best British accent). Discovering the Cube's location nets Darley a sweet $200,000.
Perplex City is an incredibly popular, absurdly complex web and card-based alternate reality game that centered on the theft of a precious artifact, the Receda Cube. Players solved puzzles on trading cards, followed the story through blogs, news updates, and emails, and teamed up at live events to try and figure out just where on Earth the precious Cube might be hiding. The game began in April 2005, with several waves of cards being released and traded amongst fans. A new Perplex City game will start later this year.
