Objectives To do a Master’s degree at one of the selected <strong>German</strong> Universities<br />

Procedure<br />
• Stipend of EURO 750.00 per month<br />
• A lump sum towards air fare from Bangladesh to <strong>German</strong>y<br />
and back<br />
• Exemption from payment of university tuition fees<br />
• A study and research subsidy<br />
• Compulsory health insurance covered by <strong>DAAD</strong><br />
• 6 months <strong>German</strong> Language Course in <strong>German</strong>y - free<br />
tuition, boarding, lodging plus pocket allowance during the<br />
period of the <strong>German</strong> language course (preceding studies)<br />
• A 1 st class Bachelor’s Degree<br />
• There should not be a gap of more than 6 years between the<br />
award of last degree and application deadline (31 st August)<br />
• In general, candidates should be residing in Bangladesh at<br />
the time of application. Candidates, who have been in<br />
<strong>German</strong>y for more than one year at the time of application,<br />
are not eligible to apply.<br />
• 2 application forms with a passport-size photograph attached<br />
to each form. Please ensure that you have signed<br />
both forms before sending them to us.<br />
• 2 typed copies of full curriculum-vitae (bio-data)<br />
• 2 copies of detailed motivation letter<br />
• 2 references from senior academics from the applicant's<br />
field of study/research on the proforma available on our<br />
website. The referee’s title and academic status should be<br />
clearly indicated in this (with official rubber-stamp). These<br />
should be Confidential (in sealed envelopes) and should be<br />
recent-dated<br />
• 2 copies of Language certificate giving evidence of the applicants<br />
level of proficiency -TOEFL minimum score: 550<br />
paper based, 213 computer based, 80 internet based) or<br />
IELTS (band 6) certificate; <strong>German</strong> Language skills** at A2<br />
level<br />
• 2 copies of all chronologically arranged academic certificates<br />
and mark-sheets (all copies must be attested; attested<br />
English translation, if the originals are in Bangla; Attestation<br />
can be done by appropriate authorities).<br />
** Knowledge of <strong>German</strong> is not mandatory but desirable<br />
