RFM5RMT4–Blue-spotted trunkfish (Ostracion cyanurus: 12 cms.) are solitary, shy and slow-moving. They can be encountered in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. They stay close to the coral reef so that they can move to a place of shelter, if alarmed. The common name is because of the box-like appearance of the animal's body. They feed on algae and various invertebrates, including worms, sponges and tunicates. Photographed in the Egyptian Red Sea.
